This is what it's all about for me, New York's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, the people the glamour and the experience all at the core in the Big Apple, and the sweetest bite of all is our tree hut is the Chelsea Hotel, My first introduction to NYC was in 1995 where I became a resident at the Chelsea back in 1995 I had come up under contract as a Ford Model, although on that tour I never made it onto the Fashion Week Runway… I’m here now and the bonus is with daughter Yasmin who I then left behind in NZ is now along side Mother Dear for the journey to continue.

Shows started at noon today at the ‘Bryant Park’ tents, so thinking ahead; thought I'd best pack my bags for tomorrow's exit and tonight, let my hair down and party like a rock star. A last ditch effort promoted by my lack of interest in any of the after events hosted these past eight days.

In keeping with the election theme of Fashion Week, Marc Jacobs should run for office. He certainly has the power of the people on his side, with an even deeper pool of celebrity followers than Obama!

At Karen Walker’s show, everyone backstage was having a ball, goofing around and having a laugh, oblivious to the drowning fashionistas queuing round the block outside in the downpour. Loved the show, fresh and summery daywear which had an American commercial appeal, different shades of blues, tans and creams to grey, recognised the some of the models from Karen’s Fall 08.
